This book presents what many are calling “Star Trek Medicine” today.

As an alternative medicine physician for 26 years I have witnessed a succession of progressively more powerful healing approaches. I was amazed by dramatic healing I witnessed with qigong during six trips to China. This new system, developed by an inventor/qigong master places similarly powerful healing tools in the hands of individuals.

Charles T. McGee MD developed a practice that was 100% alternative medicine by 1978, one of the first physicians to do so in the U.S. His interests then shifted into energy medicine. This led to six trips to China and the co-authoring of a book on Chinese qigong in 1994. He has long searched for simple, effective do-it-yourself preventive and healing methods people can use in the privacy of their own homes. “Healing Energies” describes the discovery and development of such a program, the fulfillment of his 20 year quest.

This book describes the birth of a revolution in the prevention and treatment of disease. How this program came into being is a tale stranger than fiction.

In 1977 Rodger Q. Estes invented a medical device to treat hemorrhoids with a heated probe. Going far beyond its stated indications, doctors in China tried the device in two cases of rectal cancer and the cancers disappeared. Rodger was invited to visit China where he was treated royally.

This connection led to many visits to China for me where I literally was pushed into the fascinating ancient healing discipline of qigong. Years later, in 1995, I discovered Rodger was a natural-born qigong master, endowed with healing abilities he never knew he had. (A qigong master is defined as a person who is able to see and sense subtle energies, emit healing energy from his hands and body and heal people with the most difficult health problems we experience.)

Rodger used his newly found abilities to search out healing products that emitted energies that felt good for his energy system. Over the next few years and from literally thousands of products he selected a small number and began using them in combination in friends, relatives and pets.

The modalities Rodger chose are simple do-it-yourself tools that don’t require a prescription or a physician. Items on the list sound as if they should be unrelated; trace minerals given in the rectum or under the tongue, a niacin-flush, an unusual five-carbon sugar compound, an infrared sauna, treatment with pulsed LEDs (light emitting diodes) and the original anal heater hemorrhoid machine. Instead of results being cumulative as one might hope for, synergistic responses began to occur, some miraculous. The unbelievable observation was that almost everyone who followed the program faithfully for a reasonable time improved to some degree showing healing was being activated at a deep mysterious level in our bodies.

Theories of how this program works lead us back to the classic body energy concepts of Chinese Medicine. We believe the infrared sauna, LED devices and anal heater emit energies that help normalize resonance frequencies in the sub-atomic particles that make up our cells. Trace minerals function as catalysts for enzyme reactions in our cells and ribose may be stabilizing DNA in the body as it does in medical laboratories. Using these modalities in combination energy flow in our meridians is brought back to a state of balance and harmony and this allows innate healing abilities to wake up with a vengeance.

We are excited about this approach that offers a true method of prevention to those who are well and new hope to those who are ill.
